Couture/ Taffetas Ethno Dress

Couture/ Taffetas Ethno Dress

Currently working on: a mini taffetas ethno dress inspired by an old editorial from Elle Magazine… More than a DIY, i’ve been designing this piece from A to Z and now it’s almost finished : ) I might be able to show you the result soon, stay tuned!

Who said that brown & black didn’t fit together? Until today, I’ve been obsessed with this sequined blouse by Chloe, the velvet skirt & the giraffe patterned boots. And with the mini dress & those amazing tights by Givenchy!

DIY/ The Summer Jacket

DIY/ The Summer Jacket

It seems that my seasonal shopping budget is slowly coming to an end -remember this, this and this, okay, i do also have some other new things but i’ll show you them later- so it seems that i seriously have to find alternatives to  upcoming fashion needs.

I remembered this jacket some time ago, i’m not sure that i already wore it once. The material is light and brilliant, very interesting, but that kind of sleeves makes the shape too heavy. I think the reason why i bought it was because of the pleats and the collar… Now i remember, the last time i wore something like that i was probably about 5 years old. By the way you should read this article by Leandra at Man Repeller -it made my day!

It seems that i need a summer jacket. (Basically what i call a “summer jacket” is nothing else than a sleeveless jacket that you can wear at any time along the year. But especially during summer.)

Outfit/ DIY Shirt Leather Dress

Outfit/ DIY Shirt Leather Dress

As i mentioned to you last time, this leather material has been in my mind for months -without exactly knowing what i’d do with it (a bag, a skirt, or just garments details?) Anyways, i’ve been focused on minimalistic lines associated with white color.

This material doesn’t need much more finally, so i’ve only needed a straight line basic shirt (this one from H&M Men) to extend the length with a large leather cut and get a mini dress from it. It might look quite easy at first sight, but the fact is, that this leather part can’t be straight if you want it to suit to your body shape… So it’s been also a question of feelings!

DIY/ Lace Trench

DIY/ Lace Trench

This project is quite old, but i’ve never had the opportunity to show it here on the blog, but today is the day! Trench coats are basically very casual items, they fit to everyone and to every “tee+ jeans” outfit; so i thought that lace could bring a bit chic in the daily life. The silhouette is also becoming lighter thanks to the cut out borders, that’s why i still love to wear this piece.

Freshly found in a french shop, this lilac top- remember this post, if it’s true that pastel tones are not my favorite, they’re looking different combined with neutral colors like grey & black…

Focus on White Crochet

Focus on White Crochet

Summer would not be the same without white color. I have tons of ideas and pictures in the head but sun is still missing. Crochet is a kind of these timeless trends, it goes with everything; jeans, black, color, whatever the outfit thematic.

For this reason i’d like to come back on this DIY crochet top worn in Milan last week. I didn’t had time to focus more on it since then but i think it’s an interesting idea. And these pictures have been hanging out on my desktop for a while!

Up the Paper Magazine/ 1st Editorial Project

Up the Paper Magazine/ 1st Editorial Project

I already told you some time ago about this project for Up the paper magazine, the new issue is been finally out…

And here is the page I have created! I guess it would be great for the readers to see the whole process of one of my DIY projects, from the beginning till the outfit shoot.

Concept, pictures and design by me.

It all began with an old cover from the french Elle magazine, the Givenchy collection and some Swarovski crystal elements that reminded spring details.

Then i grab a vintage men shirt at ‘Wams’, a local second hand store.

After having updated the shirt cut I’ve finally add embroideries on the collar, mixing silver studs, colored crystal & golden beads.

I decided to realize structured lines that would contrast and give more character to the “romantic” side of this shirt.

The outfit doesn’t need to be much sophisticated nor complicated, i choose a black jeans and taupe suede leather booties. The collar it-self is a jewel piece, or likely a garden. I really love it!

So, how do you find the shirt and the page?

DIY/ Jersey Knitted Clutch

DIY/ Jersey Knitted Clutch

Currently obsessed with the multicolored oversize knit by Isabel Marant… And at the same time, I’m still busy with my seasonal closet cleaning. I mean we all have old basics tee-shirts, and after one or two seasons they will be all thrown out.

The more I see the Isabel Marant sweater, the clearer it is: there must be way to recycle these tees! So I defined different colors, layered them and cut them…
