Fall Glass & Ceramics

Glass coaster via Anthropologie: Loving fall ceramics, article by Virginie Peny

Some time in my life I had to fall in love with Autumn. Next to having the opportunity to wear knits and boots, in fall season I enjoy each minute outside. Its particular smell, the colors of the nature… And the food, like figs and nuts that I love to add everywhere, in any vegetable dish I have!

I think it’s indeed a nice time to reinvent life at home. For instance, reserve more time for serving good food on a beautiful ceramic dish and glass accessories. What I brought back from Paris last month: this stunning glass coaster by Anthropologie.

The petrol blue and its green shades are actually much more vibrant in real! I especially use it in the afternoon for tea when I’m working home. But I guess it’s finally not the only way to use it. What about creating a mosaic tile in the kitchen?

Another discovery from Maison & Objet in Paris, Sugarboo Designs with its wonderful ceramic plates.

In every form and color, they seem to be from another age, like a vestige from the very deep side of the ocean…

Might look amazing with a natural color table cloth and simple other dishes.

Talking about plates, another idea I like and would like to have at home one day: a wall decoration with plates. Whether you have many different plates from the family heritage or just from the flea market, this kind of decoration is very individual. Even if the idea itself is not from yesterday – it was quite traditional in many houses last century – the way you hang them is the key to modernity.
