The most significant Swiss fashion event, MODE SUISSE, took place yesterday night in Zurich with its 11th Edition. One more time it’s been a pleasure to visit it. Actually it’s a kind of laboratory where textile experiments are made. I like to see the collection’s making of before the shows, and to learn about the visions of each designer.
Daring shapes, touching details: for sure some silhouettes let the public speechless. One can feel the ‘insecurity’ in the room, some thoughts are screaming out loud. Maybe it’s for this reason I most like Mode Suisse: it’s a continuous discussion around fabrics, ideas and makers. Sometimes more or less mature, but whether one like it or not, it’s a playground for people willing to share emotions and life’s experiments.
Here are some of my favorites.
Thanks to the team for this Edition. I’m enthusiast. I’d like to wear long tees over skirts, oversized down jackets, feminine pleated tops to my jeans – with a cat knit jumper as layer – and also, to get home one of these wonderful carpets by Schönstaub!
Sometimes it’s nice to say ‘Gut ist gut genug‘. Thanks to Jeroen Van Rooijen for this meaningful article on NZZ Bellevue about the show.
À bientôt, take care!
